The white mittens are so she does not leave scratch marks on her cute little face.
She's getting more and more chub on her everyday. She's a super good eater. Now that she's passed all the meconium I have been putting her in cloth diapers and she sure hates to be wet or poppy. She is not shy about letting us know she's unhappy. She also HATES to have air in her tummy and will not stand for it to be in there. She has been sleeping in her crib for the past 3 or 4 days. For a while she just wanted to be held while sleeping but after a few nights of being swaddled she's comfortable with it and sleeps better in her own bed and wakes up only for feedings. She then gets swaddled up again and goes right back to sleep. I am so grateful for this because it allows me to get enough sleep to function during the day.
So far Amelia has been a pretty easy baby. We know where there is a problem because she lets us know. We fix it and then everything is great. That is the update on Amelia.
Now for the Lola update - She is adjusting very well to being a big sister. She's so excited about her "baby sister" and loves to hold her and give her kisses and hugs. It was a little rough at first for Lola and maybe even harder for me. We hadn't spent a night apart from eachother since her birth so it was new for both of us. We had a great sitter staying at the house with Lola so I wasn't worried about her. It only took a few days for Lola to recover from the big change. Little does she know that there are more big changes right around the corner. Next Wednesday to be exact.
She is turning 2 on Friday so now she's telling people that she's, "almost two" when they ask her how old she is. Since Amelia's birth Lola has spent a lot of time with Sam. This has made all the difference for her in the adjustment. She's had consistent discipline and attention, love and support. It's been just what she needed as well as me. We've been so glad he's gotten this time off of work to support our family in this way. He's been such a good provider for us in so many different aspects and we love him so much!

Wonderful post; it was delightful to read!
Amelia is so cute in her "infant trappings". I can remember when Lola was just about that size. Thinking of Lola now, it's hard to believe she was ever that small.
Well the Greens must have strong genes because I think Amelia looks like Sam a lot. What do you think?

I agree with everything that Amy said. Wow! That's one for the record books. LOVE all the hair! That could be like me? I think the rest of her looks pretty Green though.
I Love the sweet picture of lola and her matching mittens (as Amelias) They sure do love being special don't they. that's so great that Sam can be with her so much. i was always thankful that Dj was able to take a week or so off after having the girls! You are doing a great Job and a great work in your girls and in your family. Side note..what were the wires and stuff on the babies heads? is that standard?
